The mission of the Miami Homeless Assistance Program (MHAP) is to provide homeless individuals assistance by placement into appropriate housing and/or shelter. Provides outreach, assessment, placement, information, referral and transportation services to homeless individuals and families. Assists with placement in shelters that can assist with bus tickets (relocation) to go back home to another state. Also, employs and trains formerly homeless men and women.

Provides information to the general public on topics related to homelessness. Provides funding to organizations who work to prevent homelessness.
